On Saturday, March 21st 2009, the annual “Forest fest” was held at Hillside Intermediate School in Bridgewater, NJ. Recognized by Dr. Jane Goodall herself as an accomplished Roots & Shoots school, it comes together every year to celebrate the environment, and its conservation. I did a fundraiser there for Orangutans, and enjoyed the atmosphere! My group and I raised a total of $47.50 in just two hours. I thought it was great. We will be continuing the fundraiser! We plan to continue it in front of Petsmart in Bridgewater, NJ when it gets a bit warmer (we don’t want to freeze!!) So, it was a great experience, and I even gave a speech (I thought I did pretty bad). It was definitely a day to remember.
